I guess you have successfully downloaded this stuff, but you don't know where to find it or install it? Do you know what exactly you have downloaded... tarballs? rpm files? what? (If in doubt, tell us the exact name of the package you downloaded).

The next step is to find the package and install the software it contains.

Do you remember where you downloaded it to? (Which is your download directory?)
You do not expect icons for the software to appear on your desktop unless your desktop directory is the download directory.

Tarballs need to be unpacked first, and usually contain installation instructions. rpm files can be installed with rpm or (I gather) YaST, and binaries just need to be made executable.

On the specifics:

Limewire: use bittorrent!

Bittorrent and gMUDIX are available as rpm files which should install a treat with YaST. Perhaps you need a YaST tutorial.

You can get the "original" BitTorrent client at www.bittorrent.com. There are other clients, like Azureus. Google is your friend..

As for MSN, there are several IM clients you can use: Gaim, Kopete, aMSN, Mercury. Some of these at least should be available via your distro's package manager. BitTorrent may be available there as well.

I used to use Azureus myself, you'll need a Java runtime environment installed to be able to use it.

Well obviously you just use your account details as normal, what else are you going to use? .
