downloading gentoo in stages?


when i go to download linux gentoo, it lists 3 stages and one other file.
do i have to download all 4? or just one of them?

Go to the Gentoo site and read the Handbook, it explains all about the stages. You only need to download one of them, read the Handbook and decide which one is best for you.
