Downloading and installing Macromedia Flash?
Hello Linux Gurus, I have tried to download and install Macromedia
Flash into the Mozilla browser. I must be doing something wrong when I get to the line choose /usr/home/.netscape or usr/home/.mozilla I make the selection but every time it fails to follow up the action, I do not have netscape installed as a browser only mozilla, which is adequate for my usage. If anyone has any info it would be most appreciated, I am using a Redhat 9 distro, I am new to Linux and it is taking me a little time to fully understand what is going on. Thanks for any help!!!!!!!!!! Regards Mike C. |
just copy flashplayer.xpt and libflashplayer.so to your ~/.mozilla/plugins (create it if it doesnt exist)
or put it in /usr/lib/mozilla-<version>/plugins to install it system wide |
Hello Demonbane, Thanks for the info much appreciated, I have checked the mozilla
plug-ins and it is now listed and working, Thanks again, I will eventually get my head round this, at the moment it is so different from windows. Regards Mike C. |
