Question downloading and installing gdm themes

I am bored with my login screen....I want somthing cooler . I downloaded some themes from a site but there was no instruction to install them. I tried using /usr/sbin/gdmconfig to install them, but it kept saying it was not a theme archive...or doesn't contain filename.xxx

Thanks for the help

Hey,

The thing is I don't know much...about gdm formats and what not. I was hoping someone would give me a website. I tried the same search you gave me but didn't come with that much. Here is where I downloaded from
http://packages.debian.org/unstable/gnome/gdm-themes

I know it is debian (I am using red-hat 9) but I figured gdm is gdm.

Actually none of the files end in .deb??? But that is beside the point, where can I find a site with themes for Red Hat or Mandrake? Won't they all work on gdm since it is gnome and gnome runs on all the systems?
