downloaded ubuntu 13.04 desktop first time. screensaver


d/l ubuntu 13.04 on an older desktop-amd x4600 4g memory nvidia 7600 card. first time using linux. is there a screensaver setting, or a way to get one for when not in use ? Also, when I boot up first time , usb mouse does not work. after a hard reboot, it does. any fixes ?

Yes, there is a screensaver: http://askubuntu.com/questions/29299...saver-in-13-04

Look in the control center thingee. It might be a subcategory under something else, such as "display" or "screen."

Back when I used Ubuntu, after I installed/upgraded it, the first thing I would do is remove the lamer gnome-screensaver and install xscreensaver, which is much easier to configure and also much richer in the choices.
