Downloaded Fedora Core 6 CD's, but can't find the right bootable .iso file

I downloaded the Fedora Core 6 CD .iso's from the fedora.com website with the express purpose of writing them to a cd to install on a second computer I have. The problem I am running into is that there are a LOT of .iso files in these zips, and no readme. I'm not sure which one to copy, and what files I need to put on the cd. I have tried a few times just copying everything to a cd and trying that, but that didn't work.

What files do I need exactly? :Pengy:

Here's The Deal...

Actually, you need all of them... Fedora is a massive installation. The ISO's should be labeled CD1, CD2 or something like that (if they're not, I wouldn't trust them anyway). Find yourself CD burning application that can burn from ISO, and you are good to go. You are going to want to boot from the first CD and everything should be fine. It sounds to me like you are opening the ISO with something like WinRar, which if that is the case, I can see how this can be confusing.

It is better just to burn the images on 6 cds and boot from the first cd.

Oh, well that explains some things. Whenever I download them they end up as .rar files...

edit: Oh they APPEAR as .rar files on my desktop but they are really the .iso files :)

Ok thx for the help.

If the box can boot from DVD then you might also want to look at FedoraUnity(.org I think). They offer FC6 DVD's (you need just 1) with all the updates up to some date (currently 2007/01/11) included.
