Hi...

Welcome to the forum

Do you intend to purchase a support plan through Red Hat? If not, then you should download CentOS instead. It is free of charge and is nearly identical to RHEL.

Regards...

You can download an RHEL 7 evaluation for 30 days (Cliffordw has the link) but if you don't intend to buy. Then just go for Centos.

Probably worth pointing out the differences between RHEL & CentOS.

RHEL is Red Hat's rock solid operating system used almost as a standard server release throughout the world. Customers pay for the support and updates Red Hat provides to their critical operations. If you don't pay, you don't get the support and updates.

CentOS is a free clone of RHEL without RH badging (although, as of a few years ago, CentOS is part of RedHat). The CentOS engineers follow RH's updates so you do receive free updates. You do not receive any support!!

A final question, why do you want to use RHEL?

If one wanted to learn RH then they really ought to get it instead of a clone. RH doesn't offer all the enterprise level things to open source. For the most part, I'd agree that you could learn 98% on a Centos, Scientific or Oracle linux setup.

However if one can't even find this on the web, the learning curve will be very high or long.
