Download question (Arch Linux)

I am currently running XP Pro (5.1, Build 2600), which is 32 bit. I will be using Virtual Box to mount Arch Linux. My question is, can I mount the 64 bit version of Arch if my host OS is 32 bit?

Don't know about Windows XP, but I can run 64 Bit Linux on a 32 Bit Debian Host.

Have a look at the user guide (section 3.1.2 in my copy). I had some problems in the past with 64-bit guests on 32-bit Vista, but that laptop died and I now run Win7 Ultimate, so I don't face the problem anymore.

And Arch runs just fine as a guest BTW.

a few things
You DO KNOW that the default Arch install has NO GUI
no graphical user interface
NO Gnome or KDE desktop

it is TEXT ONLY
for a new linux user I WOULD NOT recommend it
even if you have 5 years experance using MinGW and CygWin on xp

install a 64 bit os on 32 bit hardware
NO
now if the hardware IS 64 bit BUT xp & VB is 32 bit , maybe ???? but i do not think so .
