Download Manager for fedora?


Hi,

i recently made fedora as my primary o.s before that i was using windows xp,so to download any file in xp i used to have internet download manager,i was wondering if there are any softwares that are similar to internet download manager?

i downloaded internet download manager to my fedora and used wine tool to install it but unfortunatley it dint work!!

I'm not sure what functionality you'd expect from a download manager. I've never needed a separate application to manage my downloads (well apart from wget - but I'm sure it's not what you're after)

You could try:
http://projects.gnome.org/gwget/

Alternatively, there are some add-ons on Firefox that work as download managers.

"DownThemAll" firefox addon does well, you could try that out. I am not aware of any application in Linux equivalent to IDM or FDM.

aria2 - High speed download utility
multiget - graphical download manager

kget - download manager for KDE 4
uget - easy-to-use download manager written in GTK+2
fatrat - multi-protocol download manager, feature rich and extensible via plugin
slimrat - GUI application for automated downloading from file hosters
pwget - downloader utility which resembles wget (implemented in Perl)
axel-kapt - light download accelerator - graphical front-end
axel - light download accelerator - console version

There is FileZilla also. It should be in the Fedora repositories.

Don't use Windows programs intil you're sure there is a good Linux equivalent, especially for something so simple like a download manager!!!

there is the built in " wget " .I use that a lot
or the FF plugin" download them all "

i do not run fedora at this time but try this
install rpmfusion repo
then run

yum search download
