download and install bittorrent?

Hey - I am a newbie running Suse linux and would like to download bittorrent, on thier website they have debian and red hat packages - do these install seamlessly for me like a suse package would, or do I need to do something special? Also, what does unstable and stable versions mean?

Thanks! I have learned so much from you guys!

You first need python-wxGTK (I think that's how it's called in SuSE).
Next just google some SuSE RPMS.

You could also try azeureus (a JAVA based bittorrent client)

I don't use BitTorrent myself so I can't comment on that, but regarding stable vs unstable, the stable release can be considered to be the production release, while the unstable one can be considered to be the experimental or beta version. The trade-off is that with the unstable version, you will get the most current set of features, however, the code may still have bugs and the application could crash. Unless you have a specific reason for using the unstable version, I would recommend always using the stable version. -- J.W.
