Doubts With Fedora Core 6 Software Repositories
 

Hi,
We have P4 processor and 512 MB RAM.We have not done full installation of Fedora Core 6.So we decided to make use of Software repositories for Fedora Core 6.Can u plz mention us the site and procedure to install the repositories.We are facing the problem of "error:failed dependencies" when we tried to install Mysql in Fedora core 6.Kindly tell us how we can solve the problem of dependencies for MySQL installation.We tried with the --nodeps option but when we login to MySQL and try to execute the queries we are facing problems like Access Denied.Kindly help us with the problem.

Over-riding with no-deps won't help - there's a reason the install needs them

Start by posting the result of

yum repolist

and also some more detail about the failed dependencies (preferably the error messages)

FC6 os beyond EOL(End Of Life). Save yourself a lot of headaches and run a supported version. Fedora 8 is the current version.
