Doubt regarding 389 Server Client ?
 

Hello Guys,

I have a doubt regarding the 389 Server Client Architecture. Say, I have 389 Server working and I have few Linux Clients. Now you say that if 389 client is configured it will login through credentials which is configured in Server. So what about the local Users on that Client.
How will normal users in the Client login?

that's nothing to do with the server, pure generic configu on the client. /etc/nsswitch.conf controls where user information is sourced from, and in what order. Generally this would contain something like "passwd: files ldap" meaning local users come first, then ldap users. A similar logic is also seen in the system-auth configurations for pam in /etc/pam.d
