Hello-
I am new to linux and i have been browsing through some books and forums and I am trying to find out how to make my linux box a domain controller in my domain. I want to put all my logon profiles and all my authentication for users to log on to the domain onto my linux. Can anyone explain how to do this.

well if your using Fedora it's very easy, try one of my serversetup scripts

http://www.opensourcehowto.org/uploads/serversetup/

other wise, look around my website listed below, there is a heap of information about setting up samba, openldap and lam as a PDC.

http://www.opensourcehowto.org/how-t...-policies.html - Samba Primary Domain Controller with Group Policies

http://www.opensourcehowto.org/how-t...ba-as-pdc.html - OpenLDAP + LAM + Samba as PDC

well if your using a Fedora/RHEL/Centos distro then that server setup script is going to be the easiest way to set it up.

Pretty much any how-to is going to be via the command line, but once that is done there tend to be web based administration interfaces like LAM.

If you can't understand mine, check out
