Introduction to Linux - A Hands on Guide
This guide was created as an overview of the Linux Operating System, geared toward new users as an exploration tour and getting started guide, with exercises at the end of each chapter.
For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration. This book contains many real life examples derived from the author's experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own.

I have just install kde 4.14.6 on the top of my arch linux. In dolphin, I am trying to add some of my directories (as bookmarks) under places, but dolphin clears the (bookmarks or) places entries everytime kde restarts leaving only default entries under the tab of "places". Is there any problem here or bug or something else. Kindly check the following screenshot: http://s16.postimg.org/topop9efp/places.png
How it can be fixed?
konqueror was once my favourite filemanager, however, with the passage of time, i get used to of dolphin so much that now it seems strange when I use konqueror
However, i will give konqueror a brief try, as long as dolphin gets an update.
For one thing, I can easily have as many tabs as I want; I often have as many as five or six pointing to different directories, sometimes on different machines and devices. As far as I can find out, Dolphin limits me to a split view (if there's some setting I haven't been able to find in Dolphin, please let me know).
