Does the samba control panel work?
 
I don't seem to be able to connect to my Debian Etch machine from my Mac using Samba. I'm using the KDE interface. I noticed that the KDE Samba control panel wasn't installed, so I installed it but it seems to have a bug - I add a user, exit and reenter the control panel and that user is gone. Is the control panel broken? Do I need to approach this problem from a different direction?
