does linux have live wallpapers for desktop background

not screensavers in case your thinking that.

I;m using KDE

In case that linux doesn't support live wallpapers and I want to download some teckie style wallpapers from the net, is there a way to check if these images have hidden codes or scripts?

Two good reliable places to go for Linux wallpapers are KDE-Look and Gnome-Look.

Some Linux desktop environments do support live wallpapers. A web search for 'linux live wallpaper" turns up a number of links, most of which are distro- desktop-specific. Here's general article: http://teksocial.com/socialblog/2013...-on-linux.html

very much appreciated frankbell and ardvark71. I will look into them both.

As I was researching, I saw I can also use opengl screensavers as live wallpapers. I just need to pass the -root option to the screensaver name. BUT! It doesn't work in a KDE plasma environment. It works great in blackbox, fluxbox and some others I haven't tested.
