Does FreeBSD 9.0 i386 edition support dual-core emulation?
 
I understand that amd64 edition does. But what about i386 edition?

I am going out on a limb and say that the kernel does support SMP. It may be that some programs and maybe some drivers are not fully smp.

From your link it states thus.
