Red face does anybody know how to get safari 5 to work in linux mint 64?

..Safari doesn't have a Linux version. Or do you want to install wine and use the Windows version?

ya I want to use wine to run it but am new to using wine and linux in general. I am a MCP but have this thing for linux!

Your original counter question was silly, i clearly know there is not a version of safari for linux thus why i asked the question.

No, it wasn't clear; your post was incredibly brief and I am not a mind reader. And I have no idea what I did that you think is reportable.

It doesn't really sound like you want help. On the chance you do, again, from a search (that you could have done yourself to solve this hours ago without having to wait for anyone here), I found this post. Have you read it and gone through the steps?

I do want help and honestly i didn't realise that whole posting stupid questions thing was your sig. Also don't you think my post is in the right spot noobies? I did goggle it and tried and it doesn't work for me.i get a error about not being an executable bit. I am totally confused. I want to become totally skilled in linux and other unix like os as i am in win nt.

I hate people who don't know how to goggle to dude!!

As always, when trying to run an Windows application with wine, the first go for looking for information should be the wine application database. This is the entry for Safari 5.

Or, in other words.

By the way, why are you advertising (which isn't allowed here) your Windows website (the link doesn't even work) on a Linux forum?

I don't see a reason for the report that you made for the post. I do understand your frustrations but LQ members are volunteers that give their help freely. As they say, think before action(s).
