Do you think college linux is good for a newbie?

Or should I go with peanut instead?

college linux is a version of slackware that is very easy to install and comes set up with all of the goodies. It really depends on what you are looking for. If you want a distro that will demand you learn how to do things, by all means, go for it. If you want more things to be done for you, I would suggest Fedora/Red Hat or Mandrake or even SUSE.

Do some research, decide what you want, and go for it.
