Do you have to take red hat exams through red hat?

Does anybody know off the top of their head if you have to take red hat exams through red hat or can you go to a testing center? I don't want to spend a fortune on red hat training.

I'm interested in doing Rhcsa and have bought a study guide I been hitting the last month..cant find any info online maybe I will phone a few test centers..I'm in Republic of Ireland

You can go to a Testing Center and they will tell you if you passed the exam or not.
I also found out that the company you pay for the Red Hat Engineering License is a separate company from the testing center.
There are Testing Centers all over the globe. You'll have to call and find out when the next RH Exam is being given. This might be the one Center near you but I'm not 100% sure.
