Do not know how to connect to internet with wireless, says no card detected

Hey everyone,
I am a new user to linux and i need help.
I have dsl installed on the HD of my Viglen genie with pentium 3 cpu.
i have a linksys wireless pci card but linux does not detect it, and i do not know how to set it up or make it work.
please help, thanks.

Step 1: Identify model of your wireless card
Step 2: Look in the HCL to see if anyone has had any similar problems/solutions http://www.linuxquestions.org/hcl/showcat.php/cat/144
Step 3: ....
