Do I need to re-install or not?
I have two 120G hard Drives. I installed Mandrake on one and had it running fine. Then I installed WinXP on the other drive. The dual boot was working fine. I could select either Mandrake or XP. I had to re-install XP due to some issues I had. Now after I re-installed XP I no longer have the dual boot option. It just goes right into windoze without any dual boot choice. How do I get my dual boot option back? Do I need to re-install Mandrake or is there another fix available?
Thanks for taking the time to read this. |
The answer is NO
Task B3 of the last link in my sigature tells how you can restore Mandrake Lilo by any Linux Live CD. If you use Grub then Task B5 refers. |
The big red NO is classic. Thanks for the laugh.

Should everyone read all of Saikee's writings when starting out with Linux?YES
So there..... |
It is a dead simple task to restore any boot loader and so I thought a big no may highlight this fact.
A Mandrake installation can take a good part of an hour. That is totally unncessary. I could have made the "NO" as big as the screen if forum permits it. |
Ok, Ok, Ok, it was a really simple fix. Thanks for the help.
