why are you always one post behind? have you rebooted the box or restarted dbus?

hi,

Yes, i have restarted the box and also restarted dbus. But still when i start named service, it shows failed.

Hi,

I am trying a lot to troubleshoot the error, but still I am facing the problem. While starting the DNS service it shows failed, and the log messages are okay. Kindly help me plz.

check "/etc/sysconfig/named" file & make sure that the line

ROOTDIR=/var/named/chroot

is uncommented

can you show the output of your "/var/named/chroot/etc/named.conf" &

your forward & reverse lookup files.
