DNS server in Mandrake 9.1

Hi, I would like to know the way you can add domain names to my DNS server. I have about 14 sites that I want to add to my DNS server. I am at a loss. Can somebody please explain how I can do this? I am failrly new to Linux and would like somebody to explain how I can add these domain names to my running DNS server. Thank YOu very much.

Have you tried putting them in /etc/hosts?

Something like

127.0.0.1 localhost
212.58.224.123 www.bbc.co.uk

and so on

Which DNS server do you use? If it's bind try http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/DNS-HOWTO.html
There are example that will probably make it easy. If you find something unclear, post it here.

Thanks.. I will try that. So many confusing issues with Linux but such a powerful O/S. I am running bind 9.2.2 Mara. I will check out the link you sent and see if I can understand DNS in more detail.
