Hi, welcome to LQ!

With the info provided I don't think you'll get many useful
answers; I'd start w/ a google search for "DNS set-up <your_distro_of_choice>"

Cheers,
Tink

When you are wanting to setup up a DNS server it is very difficult to give a step by step solution. When asking for help you need to let us know what Distro you are using and what type of DNS server you are wanting to create. If you are using CentOS you can do "# yum groupinstall "DNS Server" "

use # yum grouplist

To see all groups.

Bind with bind chroot is what I use. You need to do some google and some homework to figure out what you really want though.
Good luck!

The DNS HOWTO is an old document but it's a good tutorial. It's worth looking at while you're figuring out what you want your setup to do.
