Almost all distros would work out of box with Apache + MySQL + PHP/Perl/Python setup. I prefer Slackware. But you could just about choose anyone of the major distros.

If you want speed and flexibility then use gentoo especially if its dedicated. I have setup lots of gentoo servers for this exactly

i used apache2
proftpd
php
and mysql.

I recommend gentoo allthough its a pain to set up its certainly worth it.

Nearly all of Linux distros (with the exception of possibly the micro distros) offer a default LAMP setup during the install phase. Play with a few of the live CDs to see which one offers the tools that you like.
