Well the only thing you need as far as I know is some multiprocessor kernel, which almost every distro should have.
If you want you can use a 64 bit distro, might be a little faster than 32 bit - though they will both work. But as far as I know some software still isn't availible on 64 bit systems, like flash player for instance.
For your video card you can get a driver from www.nvidia.com
. They have quite a good driver support for linux.
So I guess you can use Suse, they have a smp kernel for sure.
