Display problems with Ubuntu

I installed Ubuntu on an old iBook and I get two inches of black screen on the right and the first two inches of the gui on the bottom of the screen. How do I correct this?

Hi which version of Ubuntu do you have? And could you post your Xorg.0.log please.
It can probably be driver issue.
