Display Manager

I have Mandrake 9.1 running GNOME Desktop.I wanted to remove somes games but now I seem to have lost my Display Manager.On Booting up I get an error OAFIID:GNOME_SettingsDaemon missing & on shutdown dm shows as failed.Can anyone help?
