display/fonts

Hi

I am a newbie and running RH9 on my Compaq Presario 1711T

The first thing that I notice is that the graphics/display/fonts in rh9 are nothing in comparison to XP

Do I have my settings incorrect ? Is there something I maybe able to do to get better display (install new fonts etc..)

Thnks
