Disk quota limit mismatches with the out out of du

Hello,

I am allocated with 1.2 GB (soft)/1.7GB(hard) disk quota limit.

Quote:
testid> quota
Disk quotas for user eqanpbat (uid 1200152):
Filesystem blocks quota limit grace files quota limit grace
/dev/sdb1 1455708* 1220000 1700000 none 16277 0 0
And if I issue the disk space consumed by currently logged in user id, it is

Quote:
testid> du -sh .
542M .
Quote:
testid> id
uid=1200152(testid) gid=4274(testgrp) groups=4274(testgrp)
When I try to copy any file/s it gives disk quota exceeded error.

Wondering why this mismatch of quota output and "du" output.

Thanks,
Ravi

Actually the userid is eqanpbat only but I did not want to reveal this id over public internet ;-).

Anyways any hint about the question would be highly appreaciable!
