disk management


What command line utils are their for disk space management, specificly determining remaining disk space. What is there in KDE?

In the command line, you can use "df". I don't know about KDE though.

The command df is what you want to use at the terminal. df -h will make it humanly readable, showing each partition and the amount of space used.

The command man df will give you the tags and what they do.

and in kde there is a program called "kdf"

which is a gui for the df command plus you could mount and unmount from it

For KDE there is a program KDiskFree which will allow you too see disk space used on your harddrives and mount/unmount the drives.
