Check to see if they are installed:

rpm -qa | grep samba

Well it looks like all the proper rpms are installed. I'm wondering why your getting the warning about the "shared lock". Is their possible another rpm process running that you are not aware of?

ps -aux | grep rpm

yeah it is. Its possible that you have some corruption in your rpm database. Try deleting the existing database and rebuilding it.

rm -f /var/lib/rpm/__db*
rpm --rebuilddb
