Hi bmayao,

Welcome to LQ!

You can specify the protocol version that ssh will use to talk under sshd_config file. In sshd_config file you can specify protocol version 2 to only allow ssh protocol version 2 connections. Not sure where this file is located on HP UX system. But you can run a find command to find this file.

You can test whether your server is allowing ssh protocol version 1 connection by typing:

ssh -1 <server_name>
