Digital camera support

I have a Fuji Finepix 1300 digital camera with USB interface. It is not in the list in gtkam. In Win XP when I plug it in it shows up as a removable storage device. Is there any way to access this camera in Redhat 8? It shows up as a hard drive under the hardware browser. I just dont know how to access the drive because Im a newbie!

Well, it looks like it is being recognized as USB storage device. Thats good, as long as you never try to write anything to it, just download from it.
First you need to find out what device it is assigned. Look at your /var/log/messages and syslog and output of dmesg | less to find this out. Then try to mount it. Another easier way might be to check if it's supported by gphoto2 and use that, works like a charm with my Canon cam.
