Differences between Centos 4.6 and 5x

Hi,
Just started a new job where several systems run on Centos 4.6. I was wondering what the difference is between this and the newer 5x release? Is there anything missing from the 5x that would make it nonviable?
Thanks for any help

You could check the CentOS changelog for version 5 to see what was added to it.
