Difference between AKMOD and DKMS

Hi

I want to install nvidia drivers in my Fedora 25. I found that there are three types of drivers available - KMOD, AKMOD and DKMS. While I came to know the difference between kmod and akmod through google search, I'm unable to understand the difference between AKMOD and DKMS.

All over the internet, while explaining AKMOD, the explanation goes something like this...

Quote:
"akmod (like dkms) is ....."
But what is dkms? I want to know how dkms is similar to akmod, and why one is better than other?

Thanks

DKMS is Dynamic Kernel Module Support.-

DKMS and AKMOD are similar because they both rebuild when a new kernel is installed.

At one point AKMOD may not of been reliable:- (possibly)
