how to install and start dhcpd service.
i hav checked my ps entry but neither inetd nor xinetd
is running.how to find and run these daemon.
what is dhcdbd, dhcp6s and dhcp6r.cause these service are
there in my linux version(Fedora).

you can use yum to install dhcp, using "yum install dhcp" and then read the documentation online to understand how to use it, principally through editing /etc/dhcpd.conf.

and why have you tagged a fedora dhcp thread with slackware, kernel and initrd??
