DHCP with Dynamic DNS
At my office I have my Novell NetWare servers set up with DHCP and dynamic DNS- when the DHCP server doles out an address, it automatically updates the DNS server's database with the workstation's name/IP address. Of course, this magic is the result of a common, central database/directory (eDirectory in Novell's case).
Is there a similar way to set up DNS/BIND and DHCP in Linux without running a full fledged directory service? I guess you'd need an open source version of a DHCP server that automatically could update the DNS files... does one exist?
Thanks in advance...
