Question DHCP server question

Ok,

Sooo i have a linux dhcp server with multiple subnets.

1 of those subnets is open dhcp but i want to have reservations on it. For some reason it is still giving out hose ip's i have reserved.

I know with windows DHCP it will honor the reservations, seems like it is not on my linux box Can anyone shoot some insight ?

That could possibly be a flawed design practice. Usually you configure static assignments, even if the interface doesn't exist yet. Then DHCP jumps over them.

Possibly those IPs are already in use. You'd have to stop that; maybe by restarting the DHCP service.
