dhcp reservation

I have Redhat Linux AS3 running on a Dell PE 1440.
It's also our dhcp server.
How do I do a dhcp reservation.

Not quite sure I understand what you mean ...

If you want to have a machine get the same IP at all times,
you can add a section for it to your dhcpd.conf file like
this ...

Code:
group {

  # subnet includes both 172.1.252.* and 172.1.253.*
    subnet 172.1.252.0 netmask 255.255.254.0 {
  }

  option domain-name "mydomain.com";
  option broadcast-address 172.1.253.255;
  option subnet-mask 255.255.254.0;

  option domain-name-servers 172.1.252.130,172.1.252.70;

  # routing via firewall
  option routers 172.1.252.6;

  host  pseudostatic {
        hardware ethernet 0a:0b:0c:0d:0e:0f ;
        fixed-address pseudostatic.mydomain.com ;
  }
and so on ...

Cheers,
Tink
