DHCP, help

I've installed Red Hat 7.3

In earlier distributions the program itself has asked during the information whether you want to use DHCP or something else. In this distribution they seem to have left it out.

My question now is how can I make it work now, without having had it installed during installation.

I talked to the support at my ISP, and they said they used DHCP, but didn't have any further support on Linux. I don't think that I'm supposed to use pppoe, but dhcpcd.

Please help me

try running netconfig to configure your network connection.

I've done that, but it doesn't seem to save my settings. And it doesn't work with just starting the program dhcpcd.
