DHCP configuration

hi,
In DHCP configuration, DHCPV6 client and DHCPV6 server are not communicating.
Client as Linux 5.4
Server as linux 5.4
Client sends solicit message to server. But the server is not receiving any message.
what would be the reason??
Please provide solution.
I used dhcp6s daemon file as it is in man dhcp6s.conf
similarly i used dhcp6c daemon file as it is in man dhcp6c.conf
Eventhough it is not communicating, client has sending solicit message again and again .but there is no response from the server.
while issuing tcpdump -lnvi eth0 -X in server side , there is no capturing data.
while issuing dhcp6s -d -D -f eth0 showing address already in use.this would be a problem? isn't it.
Please provide solution ..or where to change or how to check.

Hi, welcome to LQ!

What's the output of
Code:
ifconfig
,
Code:
route -A inet6
and
Code:
ip6tables -L
on both machines?

Cheers,
Tink

ISC DHCPV6 Configuration

Server Side
i got the output below which stats that server is running.

# /usr/sbin/dhcpd -6 -f -cf /etc/dhcp/dhcpd.conf eth1
Internet Systems Consortium DHCP Server 4.1.0
Copyright 2004-2008 Internet Systems Consortium.
All rights reserved.
For info, please visit http://www.isc.org/sw/dhcp/
Not searching LDAP since ldap-server, ldap-port and ldap-base-dn were not specified in the config file
Wrote 0 leases to leases file.
Bound to *:547
Listening on Socket/5/eth1/2001:db8:0:1::/64
Sending on Socket/5/eth1/2001:db8:0:1::/64

After this i connected to client(Windows 7 PC) using cross cables.
In client side(windows 7 PC) i have selected obtaining ip address automatically. I enabled the lan connection.
while issuing ipconfig /renew or ipconfig /release in command prompt its throwing an error like (operation failed as no adapter in the state permissible for this operation).I want to know this would be the problem in client side??or someother problem.

I have checked the communication using wireshark , its just sending DHCP solicit message only . No communication other than solicit message.

Please provide the solution . otherwise please tell me the reason for this error

FOR IPV4 I HAVE CHECKED THE COMMUNICATION.
ITS WORKING FINE AND THE COMMUNICATION IS PERFECT.
in command prompt, ipconfig /release and ipconfig /renew also working in dhcpv4 case.

Please look into that and provide some solution.
