I need some help. I'm running SUSE Personal 9 and I know that it does not come with the development package autmatically. Would somebody please link the right package that I need to make all the standard stuff work. I need stuff like make, gcc, ect. I'm sorry for the stupid question. I also can't connect to the internet yet since I need these files to work so as to make some other stuff work properly.

finding out manually the rpms you need isn't easy.
I don't have suse right now but i'm pretty sure u can update packeges through yast2.
You may also try to insert your first linux cd, when u r in KDE on Gnome. They usally autorun these days..
