Unhappy Desperstely seeking Aliov

does anyone know if there's a way to find a user with whom you've had previous contact (I've tried advanced search - to no avail)? I don't know what happened but the details of my profile were lost and I had to re-register. All of my messages were lost and I had no method of contacting aliov (who was extremely helpful). Any suggetions?

using the search here, it appears that aliov does not exist. When you search by username, there is a drop-down list of possibilities after you type the first few letters. This will help if you don't remember the exact spelling.

It is very rare, but accounts here DO sometimes get deleted.
