Desktop or Server Edition?

Hi everyone,
I will install a Linux Ubuntu on my laptop. What version shall I choose?
Desktop Edition or Server Edition?
Does Server Edition contain the same features of the Desktop version plus some others? Or it is just a completely different OS?

What can I do more with the server version?

Is there any advantage/disadvantage?

Thanks

If your new to Linux and/or you don't know much about server applications, I would stick with the Desktop version.

This page has some basic info about the differences between Desktop and Server.

Thanks for the info.
I will download the desktop version and if required, in the future I will download Apache and BIND.....
with the same results....Am I correct?

From the server FAQ:
In theory, using a Desktop CD with a minimal installation and installing, for example, apache2 from the network, one can obtain the exact same result that can be obtained by inserting the Server CD and installing apache2 from the cd-rom. This is going to change slightly in the future, for dapper.
