Dell Wireless 1370 WLAN MiniPCI Card Ubuntu 9.04
 

I have a Dell C400 bought specifically for use as a Linux Laptop. The latest version of Ubuntu 9.04 has installed successfully (previous version 8.10 just displayed a blank screen during installation). The wireless card (Dell 1370 mini PCI) is unable to connect to my wireless network despite it being visible. Wireless works fine when running Windows (have another HDD running XP which was originally in the laptop). I am an absolute beginner to Linux so would really really appreciate responses in the simplest form and an explanation for any Linux techie terms.

May be you should post what you did to get it working and someone might be able to guide you from there. I am not much familiar with Ubuntu. Anyway, see this link at an Ubuntu site
