Dell E6400 dual monitor support

Hello all,

I had a Dell E6400 laptop with a nVidia controller. Is anyone know how to set it up to a dual monitor?

cheers

Yes, but you don't say what version/distro of Linux, and what kind of dual-monitor you are looking for. Are you wanting xinerama, twinview, or just two single-screens.

If you go to the nVidia site, you can not only download the Linux drivers for whatever card you're using, but actually look up the instructions on how to do this, for whatever method you want.

Thanks for quick response. I’m using RHEL 5.1 and one working nVidia device driver on Dell E6400 laptop. What I really look for is a xorg.conf file, which supports dual monitor on the laptop. The dual monitor can be one laptop LCD panal plus one VGA external display.
