Deleting unused space from a partition

I want to use Linux, I have an Ubuntu distro, and all I have is a 76.5 GB Windows partition. I have 21.6 GB free, and I was wondering if there is any shareware programs that will allow me to delete that unused space and then I could just format the unpartitioned space into a partition when I install Ubuntu. Also, will I have to get new drivers for my network card, gfx card, sound card, etc, even though they are all on my Windows partition?

Yes, there are tools to repartition a windows ntfs partition into empty unused space that Ubuntu will then use for it's installation.

****BUT****
They are very volatile!! I can't emphasize that enough. There is a possibility that you could blow away your entire windows install and be forced completely wipe the drive to start over. Make sure that you defrag your windows partition and clean up as much as you can before messing with these tools.

So, I like bootit ng. It's sort of a free tool and will work for you. Google for the website and read the documentation about repartitioning. It is fairly simple.

Thanks, I have already backed up all the files I need, the rest can be downloaded. O already have drivers and everything, the only thing I am waiting for is Comcast to give me an install CD for Digital Voice, I have it, and the idiot didn't give us an install CD, so that is the only thin gholding me back, I hate having the phone go through the modem.
