Deleting NTFS Boot partition
I have a dual boot system, NT 4.0 and RH7.3 and want to remove NT completely. The NTFS partition is also the boot partition. Currently using LILO for the boot loader. How do I delete the NTFS partition, but preserve the MBR? My first thoughts are using FDisk to delete NTFS and create an ext2 partition. Then use LILO to update the partition table and install the boot loader.

You shouldn't have any problems using fdisk to remove the partition.

make a boot floppy in Linux... delete the NTFS partition, boot to the floppy, then run lilo as you said.

If you install lilo in the master boot record, booting will
not be affected by deleting the ntfs partition. |
